Edwards XDS Scroll Pumps

Scroll pumps are an excellent alternative to rotary vane pumps where oil free pumping is desirable. The XDS pumps in particular use an innovative bearing shield to isolate the vacuum environment from all forms of lubricant not only making them totally dry, but also protecting the bearing from any process gases. Vapour handling is enabled by an adjustable gas ballast; this allows the range of pumps to satisfy many applications that were previously off limits to other scroll pumps.

Edwards nXDS Scroll Pump

nXDS improves on legacy XDS pumps by offering increased pumping speeds, combined with lower ultimate pressures, lower power consumption and lower noise. Gas ballast allows for pumping of condensable vapours including, water, solvents, dilute acids and bases. nXDS pumps also feature the latest in tip seal technology giving significantly longer life between tip seal changes. Integrated inverter drive with auto sensing voltage input delivers optimized pumping performance globally. nXDS pumps are designed to be completely field serviceable.

Edwards D-Lab and XDD1 Diaphragm Pumps

The Edwards range of diaphragm pumps offer clean pumping in a lightweight and compact design making them ideal for clean laboratory applications. Pumps can operate independently or as part of a modular system and require minimal maintenance. These are available with pumping speeds up to 2 m3/hr.

Self-Lubricating Rotary Vane (Carbon-Vane) Pumps

Thanks to self-lubricating rotor vanes, no operating fluid is necessary. The compression occurs as part of a completely dry process. A consistently high vacuum level in continuous operation is guaranteed through perfectly coordinated materials, the special graphite vanes in the compression chamber, effective heat discharge and the state-of-the-art and precise manufacturing.

Acoustic Enclosures

Acoustic enclosures are the ideal noise reduction solution for use in a laboratory or an industrial environment. The specially designed soundproof enclosures are made of materials with high noise absorption, reducing vacuum pump noise by up to 9 dB(A), with no impact on vacuum pump efficiency.
